Brizan Publishing (BPUB) officially published its second publication – Technical Package Development for Excel – on October 1, 2020.

The book focuses on the art of the Technical Package (Tech Pack), an important aspect of the global fashion industry and one of the most important components in the fashion design process.

Technical Package Development for Excel was created in response to the under-served needs in the local and regional fashion trade. It was developed in keeping with global fashion industry standards to equip and acclimate users with the terminology, techniques and procedures requisite for the technical design and production process.

Ultimately, the goal is to: help users gain invaluable insight into the technical design and production process; introduce users to the components of a detailed technical package needed for production of a design; and help users become proficient in developing industry-quality technical packages.

Through providing training and education the aim is to help promote the social, economic, and cultural welfare of stakeholders.

Technical Package Development for Excel is divided into three primary sections: The Technical Package, Labelling and Packaging, and Microsoft Excel. It provides key exposures in labelling requirements and packaging guidelines, and features insight on care symbols under special license agreement with GINETEX (The International Association for Textile Care Labelling).

The publication comes with access to a free, fully customizable copy of the Advanced Technical Package Template for Excel © produced under the company’s AUX Creativ division.

Additionally, Technical Package Development for Excel offers individuals the opportunity to prepare for careers with retail and wholesale organisations as design assistants and associates, fashion designers, technical designers, and executives with an understanding of essential techniques specific to the fashion industry.

More so, it plays a valuable role in the socio-economic development of the local and regional fashion sectors and its stakeholders, and by extension contributes to economic growth, diversification and development. Through providing training and education the aim is to help promote the social, economic, and cultural welfare of stakeholders through: being responsive to their needs; enhancing their employment and earning potential; promoting entrepreneurship; and fostering the development and growth of small businesses.
