Jessel Brizan Design Group Launches Brizan Advisory
by JBDG | VALSAYN, Trinidad and Tobago | 10 August 2026
Today, Jessel Brizan Design Group Ltd. (JBDG) launched its newest division, Brizan Advisory.
As the first and only fashion business consultancy in the Caribbean fashion ecosystem, Brizan Advisory is the leading fashion business intelligence and growth platform, with proprietary systems that encompass fashion business diagnostics, buyer-readiness intelligence, and industry benchmarking.
Recently, you might have noticed the Brizan Advisory logo subtly included in the company's marketing materials for its Business of Fashion Marketing™ series. This series was launched on June 1, serving as a precursor to Brizan Advisory, and coincided with the release of the 'De Gruyter Handbook of Fashion Marketing', edited by Olga Mitterfellner (De Gruyter Brill, 2026). In this handbook, JBDG founder Jessel Brizan contributed Chapter 8, titled ‘Caribbean Fashion Marketing: Defining Caribbean Fashion.’
“We have identified a critical gap between creativity and commercial viability in the Caribbean fashion industry”, said Brizan, lead consultant. “Most Caribbean fashion brands don’t fail creatively, they fail commercially.”
As a business strategist, entrepreneur, educator, and author of ‘Selling Fashion Collections: Navigating the Buying Process as a Fashion Entrepreneur’, Brizan has spent years helping fashion brands in T&T and across the Caribbean close that gap. He emphasised, “Most Caribbean fashion brands have beautiful products, but lack the systems to sustain growth and profitability.”
According to Brizan, the Caribbean fashion industry is a dynamic and evolving sector. He said that over the past few decades, Caribbean fashion has steadily gained global attention. However, despite the growing recognition of Caribbean fashion, the industry still faces systemic issues endemic within the region, including economic barriers, inadequate infrastructure, cultural perceptions, global competition, homogeneity, and lagging sustainability efforts. Brizan added that these challenges are further compounded by limitations to global exposure, market size, government support, resources, capital, and business acumen.
Brizan Advisory was created to provide premium fashion management consultancy services to fashion entrepreneurs and to the corporate, government, and institutional sectors. The consultancy offers a range of bespoke services, including consulting, keynote addresses, panel discussions, and workshops tailored to clients’ needs. Key proprietary systems include:
Are You Buyer Ready?™ diagnostic
Buyer Readiness Index™
The Commercial Viability Toolkit™
Revenue Strategy Blueprint™
Despite the many challenges of Caribbean fashion, Brizan maintains an air of optimism. “As the industry continues to evolve, the future of Caribbean fashion is poised for transformative growth, driven by technological advancements, social media influence, sustainability concerns, and the globalised marketplace,” he stated. “And Brizan Advisory is positioned to be at the forefront of positive, progressive, productive change within the Caribbean fashion industry.”
Brizan Advisory marks the fourth division under the Group’s growing portfolio, which encompasses fashion design and merchandising, creative services (AUX Creativ), and publishing (Brizan Publishing). Founded in 2006, Jessel Brizan Design Group Ltd. is an ethical Caribbean luxe, life and style fashion company based in Trinidad and Tobago. Under the vision “A Statement of Caribbean Life + Style”, the company is dedicated to being globally recognised as a premier fashion design and merchandising company that reflects the spirit of the Caribbean — people, culture, life, and style.
Brizan concluded, “Fashion is creative, success is commercial.”
