Our inaugural social media button campaign was well-received and received a favourable patronage, selling several buttons in the process.
Via a social media voting process, patrons chose the inaugural recipient as CreateFutureGood, a non-governmental organization (NGO) and “social enterprise with a core purpose of promoting the awareness and advocacy of children’s rights”.
JBDG was pleased to present CreateFutureGood with a contribution to aid in the great work the organization undertakes on a year-round basis.
Started in February 2018, I Heart TT™ is a charitable initiative established in collaboration with our sister company Blue Basin Department Stores Ltd. in response to the pervading social ills in Trinidad and Tobago.
In keeping with our core philosophy - Philanthropy Through Fashion - all profits from the sale of I Heart TT™ merchandise are donated in support of worthy causes, charities, NGOs, and/or organizations with a national focus, particularly disadvantaged children and/or at-risk youth.
In the spirit of fair trade and ethical business practices, the I Heart TT™ Campaign does not support the following:
Individuals.
Religious or religion-based organizations.
Organizations or entities with a political agenda.
Organizations or entities whose agenda favours special interest groups.
Any entity engaged in illicit activities and/or business practices.
January 2020
On January 24, 2020, we were pleased to be a part of the National AIDS Coordinating Committee (NACC) ‘Sa Vo Yon’ fundraising event in aid of the Cyril Ross Home at Lions Cultural Centre, Port of Spain, Trinidad.
Following the event we were proud to make a charitable donation to Cyril Ross Nursery, a children’s’ welfare entity responsible for the medical management of children living with HIV/AIDS, which was the result of proceeds from the sale of I Heart TT™ merchandise during the month of January 2020.
In keeping with accountability, transparency, honesty, and integrity the adjoining chart displays the current sales of I Heart TT™ merchandise for January 2020.
In April 2021, we resumed the initiative with the introduction of a new range of merchandise which features a limited assortment of apparel - from ladies’ crop tees to unisex tees and hoodies - in a limited assortment of colours.
The merchandise intentionally features heavily on eco-friendly fabrics and printing techniques to offer the conscious consumer products that align with the company’s commitment to sustainability, and environmental and social responsibility.
We are hopeful that the I Heart TT™ initiative will augur greater support and ultimately greater success in the future because there is work to be done! But we cannot do it alone. We need your support.
