This is an interactive, professional fashion workshop that focuses on an important aspect of the global fashion industry and one of the most important components in the fashion design process – the Technical Package (Tech-Pack).
The Tech Pack is crucial to move onto production. Essentially, it is the blueprint of the design. It is comprised of a collection of information required by a manufacturer in order to produce the design. The tech pack includes all the specifications for the design that are needed for the different stages of production from the proto-sample to mass production.
Through computer-aided techniques trainees are introduced to all the necessary components of a detailed technical package needed for production of the design. They utilize digital imaging, industry-specific terminology, and software to create a full technical package.
Compliance guidelines, procedures and standards for product development and apparel production are explored.
